In recent years, nut butter has become incredibly popular due to its nutritional advantages as well as its flavours. It is rich in proteins, healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals. It not only tastes wonderful but also supports heart health, boosts energy and prolongs feelings of fullness. The popularity of health-conscious diets has motivated people to make nut butter at home instead of buying commercial varieties because these typically contain added sugar and preservatives.

You can use Usha's wet grinder which makes the process effortless. When making the nut butter at home you customise it by infusing it with ingredients like honey, cinnamon, or cocoa.

Almond Butter

Start with two cups of raw or roasted almonds in your Usha wet grinder to make this nut butter variant. Roasting the dry fruit in advance improves the flavour. Start the wet grinder after adding the almonds. This will take 15 to 30 minutes, scrape down the sides to achieve even grinding. For added taste, you can also add some honey or a little bit of salt. Transfer your butter to a sealed container before storing it inside the refrigerator.

Peanut Butter

Use two cups of roasted peanuts for this butter. You can use unsalted or lightly salted, depending on your taste. In the wet grinder, put the peanuts and process them on medium speed. Usually, this procedure takes 10-15 minutes. If using unsalted peanuts, add a teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup for sweetness. The prepared butter should be stored in an airtight container inside the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Walnut Butter

Simply take two cups of walnuts to make this butter at your home. Before grinding, you can slightly roast them for 8 to 10 minutes to make the final product toasty. Blend the nuts in the wet grinder until they are smooth, which could take another 15 to 20 minutes. Due to their higher oil content, walnuts typically break down into a creamy consistency quicker than other dry fruits. Before moving the walnut butter to a storage container, add a little vanilla essence or cinnamon.

Hazelnut Butter

Take two cups of roasted hazelnuts, roast them, rub the skins off with a fresh kitchen towel, and grind. In 10-15 minutes, you will have a smooth and creamy blend. Try making chocolate hazelnut spread using cocoa powder or dark chocolate chips. Once well combined, refrigerate your butter in an airtight container.

Pistachio Butter

To make this nut butter, start with two cups of pistachios, which you can roast or use raw. Blend them in the wet grinder until they are smooth. Since pistachios are oily nuts, they will easily break down into a creamy consistency. To further improve the flavour, you can optionally add salt or honey. Store the butter in an airtight container.
