Got Leftover Desserts? 3 Quick Recipes To Give Them A Makeover

We all love desserts! But what to do when you are left with plenty of them? For example, recently, my fridge and kitchen were loaded with packets of laddoos, barfis, pedas and kaju katlis. So, we indulged but couldn't enjoy them after a few days as we were bored eating them. So, why not work on some recipes to give them a makeover. If you have leftover desserts, the following are exciting ways to revamp them.

Cake

Ingredients:

  1. Condensed milk - 1/2 cup
  2. Leftover sweets - 2 cups
  3. Vanilla essence - 1/3 tsp
  4. Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  5. Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  6. Dry fruits - 1/2 cup
  7. Sugar - 1/3 cup
  8. Maida - 2 cups
  9. Ghee - 1/2 tsp
  10. Milk - 1 cup

Method:

  1. First, prepare the batter using the leftover sweets and milk in a mixer
  2. Now add vanilla essence condensed milk to the batter and beat it well
  3. After this, mix all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and dry fruits
  4. Now, grease the cake maker with ghee and pour the prepared batter into the mould
  5. Put the batter in the preheated oven (180 degrees) and leave it in the oven for 25 minutes
  6. Now, take it out from the oven and serve after it cools down

Rabri

Ingredients:

  1. Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  2. Leftover sweets - 2 cup
  3. Saffron threads - 1-2
  4. Dry fruits - 1/2 cup
  5. Khoya - 1/2 cup
  6. Sugar - 1/4 cup
  7. Milk - 2 cup

Method:

  1. First, put milk, khoya in a pan and boil them until thick
  2. Now, set the leftover sweets in the mixer and mix them
  3. Put the mixed sweets in boiled milk and cook for some time
  4. Add cardamom powder, dry fruits and saffron thread; stir it once and turn off the gas

Kulfi

Ingredients:

  1. Dry fruits - 1/2 cup chopped
  2. Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  3. Leftover sweets - 1 cup
  4. Milk - 3 cups
  5. Sugar - 2 tsp

Method:

  1. First of all, break the sweets into small pieces in a vessel
  2. After this, prepare the batter by putting the sweets and one cup of milk in the mixer
  3. Add two cups of sugar and milk to a pan and boil them
  4. Then, add cardamom, dry fruits and mix them
  5. After five to seven minutes, mix the sweets, milk batter and turn off the gas.
  6. After cooling, pour this batter into the kulfi mould and keep it in the fridge for some time.
  7. Your kulfi is ready to serve
