Coffee has strikingly been with us since the middle of the 15 century, and if you look at people’s craze behind coffee even today, you will come to notice that it is no less than it was hundreds of years ago. Take a list of some of the most popular drinks globally, and you will have coffee that emerges to be in the top 3. There are endless varieties of coffee, starting with espresso, latte, cappuccino and more, that we have been brewing for centuries. Give your go-to drinks list a makeover and move over from black and iced coffees and add these exquisite varieties of liquor coffees that we listed down for you. Brew them only if you fit in the legal drinking age. Let’s get started, shall we?

1. Irish Coffee

Irish coffee is a dark coloured, creamy and bittersweet coffee having a foamy head that is made with the help of pouring Irish whiskey in any brewed coffee mixed with sugar that is lastly topped with a heavy drizzle of white cream. Irish coffee comes from the mid-19-century with a lot of love and admiration gained worldwide, so brew this piping hot Irish coffee right away.

2. Caffe Corretto

Caffe corretto is an Italian drink brewed with a shot of espresso mixed with any liquor ( grappa or brandy). This liquor coffee is better known as ‘Espresso corretto’ for the people outside of Italy. Italians follow a unique tradition in that after drinking more than half a cup of the drink, the drink is rinsed with a bit of the same liquor used in the making. After cleaning, it is then drunk again.

3. Barraquito

Barraquito is quite an old drink that hails from Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands. It is a multi-layered coffee liqueur prepared by pouring liquor, expresso, lemon peel, and milk over condensed milk garnished with cinnamon powder. Never go wrong with the order; otherwise, you will mess up the taste.

4. Gunfire

The detailed history behind the origin of gunfire is ambiguous but is said to have been invented by a British army. Gunfire is one of the best liquor coffees typically made by mixing black coffee with rum. It is also traditionally prepared every year on ANZAC day, which is served to the soldiers before dawn services as a part of the ‘Gunfire breakfast’.
