How Turmeric Helps In Weight Loss?

Turmeric contains anti-inflammatory and anti-obesity properties that help in reducing the fat from the body. According to Healthline, its active compound called curcumin suppresses the inflammatory markers which are one of the major causes of obesity. Curcumin is a polyphenol from turmeric plant that is also widely used in Ayurveda to treat diseases like asthma, coughing and heart problems.

Turmeric helps in regulating sugar levels that is beneficial for improving glucose metabolism and preventing insulin resistance. As a result, the excess fat is not retained in the body which further helps in weight loss. Usually, overweight people are prone to diabetes, therefore consuming turmeric also helps them in fighting this condition.
