After a day of devotion and fasting, the evening meal known as Iftar serves as both nourishment and a chance to celebrate and express appreciation with loved ones. At Iftar, families join together to savour a range of delicious foods that warm the heart as well as the body. Among many options, baked potatoes stand out because of their adaptability, comfort, and capacity to satisfy a wide range of palates. Since potatoes contain complex carbohydrates that release energy gradually, they are a perfect addition to your iftar spread.
With an OTG you can prepare a perfectly browned crust and fluffy interior baked potato for your iftar party. The uniform heat distribution, temperature and moisture control of Usha's OTG make the process of preparing these dishes easy and every time you will get a perfect outcome. Below are some dishes to make with baked potatoes for an iftar party.
Broccoli Cheese Baked Potatoes
To prepare this, first wash and prick the potatoes with a fork, then wrap them in aluminium foil. Bake them until soft for around 45 to 60 minutes in your preheated Usha's OTG. Make the broccoli cheese filling by boiling or steaming chopped broccoli until it becomes soft. In a mixing bowl, add the cooked broccoli, shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar), salt, pepper, and a little milk or cream to make it creamier. After baking the potatoes, slice them open. Using a fork, fluff the insides, then put the broccoli cheese mixture. Put them back in your OTG for 10 more minutes until the cheese is bubbling and melted. Serve this dish with creamy ranch or yoghurt dip.

Cheesy Stuffed Baked Potatoes
Cheesy stuffed baked potatoes are perfect for cheese lovers and are prepared by combining potatoes with the classic flavours of cheese, creamy filling, and spices. First, wash, prick the potatoes and wrap them in foil. Then, bake them in your Usha OTG until they are soft. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions or chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to make the stuffing. Let the potatoes cool slightly, then cut them into slices. Then, scoop out a small portion of it from the inside skin and mix it thoroughly with the cheese mixture. Stuff each potato skin with the mixture; if you want, top each with more cheese. Again, bake them in your OTG for 10 to 15 minutes until they are slightly brown on top. Pair them with salads for freshness and to lighten the richness.

Potato Casserole
To make potato casserole, thinly slice medium potatoes; for even slices, use a mandoline. Then, make a mixture of heavy cream or milk, shredded cheese (cheddar), chopped garlic, salt, pepper, and any herbs (rosemary or thyme). Take a baking dish, grease it with oil and pour half of the creamy mixture over half of the sliced potatoes. Repeat with the remaining cream mixture after adding another layer of potatoes. Then, cover the casserole with aluminium foil and bake it in your Usha's OTG for 30 to 40 minutes until the potatoes are soft. After a day of fasting, its rich flavours and creamy texture make it a very appealing dish, and the cheese's protein gives you long-lasting energy.

Baked Potato Pizza
This is an innovative dish that combines popular pizza with baked potato, which makes it the perfect dish for your iftar party. First, prepare the potatoes and bake them in your OTG. Then, cut the baked potatoes into rounds, season each slice with salt and pepper and place them like a pizza crust on a baking sheet that has been greased with oil. Spread a layer of pizza sauce on the potato slices, and add bell peppers, onions, olives, mushrooms, pepperoni slices, shredded cheese, or any other toppings you like. Then, bake them again in your Usha's OTG for 10 to 15 minutes.
Bacon Cheddar Potato Skins
Prepare your baked potato in your Usha OTG. Allow them to cool slightly, then cut each potato in half and remove some pulp to prepare the skin. Then brush each skin with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle salt on top. Stuff each skin with cooked bacon and grated cheddar cheese. After that put them back in your OTG for ten to fifteen minutes until the cheese melts wonderfully and the edges are crispy. They can be served as snacks or appetisers for your Iftar spread. Also, it pairs well with ranch dressing or sour cream on the side.
