This Burger King Outlet Turned Vegan For A Week, Impresses Netizens Across The World

Vegan and plant-based diet is getting more and more popular with several brands, restaurants and celebrities turning to cruelty-free lifestyle and diet. And this is due to the people becoming more environmentally-conscious and demanding plant-based foods everywhere. Running in the forefront of meeting the demands, a Burger King outlet in Germany recently turned 100 percent meat-free for a limited period of time (June 7-11). Catering to a large set of consumer base including vegetarian, flexitarian and plant-based patrons, the outlet in Cologne, Germany became the first plant-based Burger King restaurant in the world. 

Taking to their official Instagram account, Burger King Germany shared a Reel of how they transformed the outlet to introduce it as entirely plant-based. The caption read “We are ready for Burger King PLant-based week at Schildergasse in Cologne. Who’s coming over from tomorrow? Of course, there is also a surprise for all non-Cologne residents.” Take a look at the video: 

They posted another Reel showcasing the interiors of the outlet done in all green and shades of brown. It said “We’ll show you the world’s first plant-based burger king restaurant. How do you like the style? As per reports, the outlet’s revamped menu for the special plant-based week had the signature dishes such as vegan whopper, plant-based nuggets and wraps and also included delicious vegan ice-creams for the dessert!  

The news has definitely had vegans across the world elated with fans lauding the initiative on social media. Even Bollywood actor Genelia D’Souza who co-owns a plant-based meat brand 'Imagine Meats' with husband and actor Riteish Deshmukh shared the new on her Instagram stories while appreciating the move.
