No matter what the occasion is, Malaika Arora never ceases to give us some serious food goals. Known to be a fitness enthusiast, Malaika believes in maintaining her good health and well-being. And her enviable physique is proof of the same. But that doesn’t mean that she has to let go of her foodie side. Malaika is a self-confessed foodie, who never forgets to share her indulgence on social media with her over 16 million followers.
And so, we can spot her indulging in many delicious treats every now and then. Don’t you remember her pizza night? Or her foodie trip to Paris with boyfriend, actor Arjun Kapoor? Read more about it here. But, while she is a complete foodie, she is also quite mindful of it. Her latest indulgence on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi is a proof of how she makes sure to eat delicious, but eat well. In her latest update, Malaika took to Instagram stories to share a glimpse of her Sattvik meal, and it looked every bit delicious. Take a look:
"Ayurveda lifestyle. Satvik," she captioned the story. In the picture, we could see a jar of ghee with some podi masala. There was also a bowl full of palak patta and a bowl of what seemed to be some spicy Idli topped with delicious masalas. The meal looked absolutely delicious and fulfilling, quite unlike what most of us would think of a Sattvik meal to be.
For the unversed, the word 'sattvik' food comes from the word 'sattva', which means the one that is pure, natural, vital, energetic, and clean. Sattvik diet includes most of the vrat ingredients like fresh fruits, cooling curd, pure rock salt, and seasonal vegetables like pumpkin and lauki, as well as subtle spices like cumin, coriander, and black pepper. According to Ayurveda, sattvik foods are important to maintain the balance of a healthy mind and body. Well, it seems like Malaika truly understands the importance of sattvik meals in our diet.
However, this is not the only treat Malaika enjoyed on the festive occasion. Like every true devotee of Lord Ganesha, Malaika too relished some wonderful modaks on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. She shared a picture of the same on her Instagram handle. "All the goodies I love for Ganesh Chaturthi," she wrote on Instagram.
Ganesh Chaturthi commenced on August 31. The 10-day festival is bound to make anyone crave Lord Ganesha’s favourite sweet. And after looking at Malaika’s sweet indulgence, if you too are craving some modaks, we have got the perfect recipe for you here.
