If you are someone who cooks often, don't you think life would’ve been easier if chopping wasn’t involved in the basics of cooking? Well, why else do you think I love ready to eat meals and quick egg recipes for all my meals? Most of the times they do not require any chopping. The last time I tried chopping some onion for an omelette, it was the last omelette I ever tried making. So well, let’s agree chopping is a tricky part. Rarely do we get the end products in the right proportion. These culinary skills are definitely tough to master. Yet some people's culinary talents are too good to ignore. And, if these skills are coupled with amazing speed, there's no way we can lift our eyes off the kitchen tabletop. For instance, a recent video of a chef has gone viral, thanks to his unbelievable chopping skills.
In the viral video, a chef is seen cutting about nine-ten cucumbers in a row at once. He first chops off their ends with wide-edge knife and proceeds to slice each of the cucumber one by one. This is where comes the best part- he takes one cucumber, nips the other end, thrusts his hand on the little chunks and slices it in a unique horizontal way with stunning speed. The most amazing part is how smoothly he churns out multiple thin cucumber pieces out of just the tip of a cucumber. And at no point in the cutting process does the chef hurt himself. Take a look at the video:
Unbelievable, isn’t it? The video was shared by an Instagram page named "reelsemperor", who captioned it "Top Cutting Skills." The video has over 29m views with more than 800k likes and thousands of comments. Viewers were definitely amazed at the chef's skills. One user wrote, " Damn that’s some skills in the sharpest knife right there you the man " Another praised the chef's skills and wrote, " This is one of creative skill, fast and thin and control.” “With those skills, this guy could feed an entire nation using a single cucumber!” a surprised user wrote pointing out the amount of cucumber being churned out.
Another person who was stunned by the cutting speed wrote humorously "would've left some hand carpaccio in that process."
The same Instagram page features many such amazing videos of culinary skills. In one video, we see a person practising how to make a beautiful cream design n a cup of cappuccino. The person adds the cream to the cup in controlled ways and makes a pattern of hearts. The video caption read, "Practice."
Isn’t it simply amazing how people around the world have culinary skills unmatched, making cooking such a beautiful art that it is. What do you have to say about these videos? Let us know.
