Murabba! A staple of Indian cuisine. The first thing that I like to eat early in the morning is gooseberry murabba. Many people also have apple murabba to maintain their daily health. Earlier, we had shared the recipe of bael and amla murabba. So this time, let’s try some raw papaya, ginger and pumpkin murabba recipes. These murabbas are not only delicious but can also go a long way in boosting your immunity. These are easy to make at home, as you don’t need to work hard or spend a lot of money on preparation. Here’re the recipes:
GINGER MURABBA
Ingredients:
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
- Laxative water - 1 drop
- Ginger - 500 grams
- Sugar - 250 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Method:
- Clean and peel the ginger, and cut it lightly from the middle
- Pour some water in a vessel, boil it well, take it out and keep it aside
- Make sugar syrup by adding water sugar to another container with cardamom powder
- After a while, add boiled ginger and lemon juice to it
- Ginger murabba is ready to eat
RAW PAPAYA MURABBA
Ingredients:
- Saffron threads - 5-6 (optional)
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
- Raw papaya - 300 grams
- Sugar - 150 grams
Method:
- Peel the papaya thoroughly, clean and cut it into one- to two-inch small pieces
- Put the papaya and some water in a vessel and boil it for some time (boiling will remove the bitterness of papaya)
- Now, make holes into the papaya for the juice to trickle inside it
- Add water, sugar to a vessel to make sugar syrup; after it thickens, add the papaya and cook it for some time
- Kachcha papaya murabba is ready.
PUMPKIN MURABBA
Ingredients:
- Pumpkin - 500 grams
- Sugar - 300 grams
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Peel and cut the pumpkin into thin pieces
- Put water in a vessel, boil it well and keep it aside
- After this, with the help of a knife, make holes into the cooked pumpkin
- Make sugar syrup by adding sugar and water to another vessel with cardamom powder
- After a while, put boiled pumpkin in it and cook it
- Pumpkin murabba is ready to serve
