STEP 1.Place 500 gm pork belly cut into bite size pieces in a saucepan and add ½ ltr water. Bring to a boil.

STEP 1.Allow the pork to boil for 5 minutes.

STEP 1.Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain the pork. Keep aside.

STEP 1.In a wok heat 1 tbsp oil and add the pork pieces.

STEP 1.Fry for 5 minutes till golden.

STEP 1.Then add 10 gm sliced ginger, 2 roughly chopped spring onions, 3 small bay leaves ,1 star anise, 1 tsp soy sauce and stir fry for 5 minutes.

STEP 1.To this add 1 ltr cola, salt to taste and bring to a boil.

STEP 1.Cover and turn the heat to low. Cook for 1 hour till the meat is tender.

STEP 1.Then uncover the wok, turn the heat to high and continue to cook till the liquid has almost disappeared.

STEP 1.Transfer to a dish and serve hot.
