Ingredients for Xiao's Cola Pork Belly Recipe

  • 1 Cola ltr
  • 500 piece Pork belly cut into bite size gm
  • 10 gram Ginger Sliced
  • 2 No.s Spring onions roughly chopped
  • 1 No.s Star anise
  • 3 No.s Bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • As required Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Oil

Directions: Xiao's Cola Pork Belly Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Place 500 gm pork belly cut into bite size pieces in a saucepan and add ½ ltr water. Bring to a boil.

  • STEP 1.Allow the pork to boil for 5 minutes.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Use a slotted spoon to remove and drain the pork. Keep aside.

step 4

  • STEP 1.In a wok heat 1 tbsp oil and add the pork pieces.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Fry for 5 minutes till golden.

  • STEP 1.Then add 10 gm sliced ginger, 2 roughly chopped spring onions, 3 small bay leaves ,1 star anise, 1 tsp soy sauce and stir fry for 5 minutes.

  • STEP 1.To this add 1 ltr cola, salt to taste and bring to a boil.

step 8

  • STEP 1.Cover and turn the heat to low. Cook for 1 hour till the meat is tender.

step 9

  • STEP 1.Then uncover the wok, turn the heat to high and continue to cook till the liquid has almost disappeared.

step 10

  • STEP 1.Transfer to a dish and serve hot.
