Part of what makes thanksgiving so special is the opportunity it provides to reflect and give thanks for the blessings we have received throughout the year. One such blessing is the gathering of friends and family members in one place to enjoy delicious dishes and desserts. At my house, in addition to preparing a dinner spread, i set up a dessert table with traditional thanksgiving sweet treats alongside some of my favorite latin ones. The table also fills up with gifts from aunts and friends who bring their favorite hispanic dessert recipes to savor and share. In this same spirit of giving, i like to prepare small party favors for my guests to take home with them. This white chocolate brittle with cheerios and almonds is an excellent addition to my dessert menu and a great gift option.
