  • 1/2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 Bay Leaf
  • 0.63 Le Spices
  • 1/4 Onion, Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1 cup Water

Directions: Wheat-moong Khichdi Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the wheat grains and moong dal for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, and whole spices.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add soaked wheat grains, moong dal, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 5.Pour in water and pressure cook for 4-5 whistles or until the grains are cooked.
  • STEP 6.Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and give the khichdi a gentle mix.
  • STEP 7.Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or papad.
