1/2 green onions, finely chopped, plus more for serving
1/4 inch fresh ginger, grated
1/4 clove garlic, minced or grated
As required Black pepper
1/4 inch head broccoli, cut into florets or 1 winter squash, seeded and sliced into 1/4 wedges
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil, or extra virgin olive oil
0.08 cup low sodium soy sauce
0.08 cup Pomegranate juice
3/4 tablespoon hoisin sauce
3/4 tablespoon honey
1/2 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, using more or less to taste
As required steamed rice, sesame seeds, and pomegranate arils, for serving
