We eat the fleshy red part of water melon. But back in Karnataka we cut out the white rind and use it in dosa.

Ingredients for Watermelon rind dosa Recipe

  • 11 cups rice washed and soaked n wter for hours
  • 10 cup halfurad dal with methi seeds soaked in water for hours
  • As required one cup wtermelon rind
  • 8 cups twoof JADA POHA soaked in water for hours
  • As required slt to taste.

Directions: Watermelon Rind Dosa Recipe

  • STEP 1.Grind all the grains and poha and let it ferment for 8 hours.
  • STEP 2.In the morning take some batter in mixer add the rind and grind.
  • STEP 3.Add this to main batter.
  • STEP 4.Mix with salt
  • STEP 5.Heat a iron tava and smear some oil
  • STEP 6.Take 2 ladle full of the batter and put on the girdle
  • STEP 7.Let it spread on its own
  • STEP 8.when pores come on top side reverse it
  • STEP 9.spread some oil on the sides
  • STEP 10.eaat it hot with green chutney
