Basically, falafel is a deep fried ball that is made from chickpeas and spices. Falafel is very popular in the middle east as a fast food. I gave a twist to the to the falafel by making it in waffled form, which is healthy as it is not deep fried and requires very less oil (just for greasing the waffle iron).

  • 1/5 cup Chickpeas
  • 1/5 large Onion, chopped
  • 0.40 cloves of Garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/5 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/5 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 0.40-0.60 tablespoon multigrain flour or all purpose flour
  • 0.40 green chillies, chopped
  • As required Salt
  • As required Black pepper powder
  • As required Butter, for greasing
  • As required Diced red bell pepper, tomatoes, carrots, lettuce and cucumber – for serving
