Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the onion, ginger, and garlic, and cook until fragrant.
  • STEP 2.Add the vegetable stock, star anise, cinnamon stick, cloves, and soy sauce to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
