A traditional Gujarati khichdi recipe. It is prepared from rice, dal, potato, and seasoning ingredients. It is tempered with ghee and curry leaves.
STEP 1.Take half a cup of rice and half cup of toor dal in a bowl, wash well.
STEP 2.Take a potato and dice it finely. Add water to it. Add peas, peanuts, and green chilies.

STEP 1.Take another pan and add a spoon of oil and add mustard seeds in it, when they crack, dry red chilies, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Add the vegetables in it and cook while covering.
STEP 4. Now add the rice and pulses from earlier. And cook for 4 whistles.
STEP 5.Serve with some curd and chutney.
