Uttapam is a thick pan cake made with thick dosa batter. Unlike the normal crispy thin dosa this is spongy and soft. This is a famous traditional south indian breakfast or dinner. Here i have used the leftover plain dosa batter that i shared earlier on this platform.

Ingredients for Uttappam platter Recipe

  • 1/2 cup For dosa batter : : Urad gota
  • 3/4 cup Sona masoori rice
  • 3/4 cup Long grain rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
  • As required Salt
  • 1.25 cup For Uttappam : : Thick dosa batter
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon For toppings : : onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon Bell Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Carrot, peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • pinch Big : Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon For mixed vegetable uttappam : : Onion, tomato, carrot, coriander leaves
