Ingredients for Urad dal Vada Recipe

  • 2 cup Urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp crushed pepper
  • 500 ml Refined oil ( for fry the vada )
  • As required Hing
  • As required Salt
  • As required Wash the urad dal thoroughly and soak it for four hours. Then remove the water fully and grind it in grinder or in mixie. Add very little water in between and grind it into fluffy batter. Transfer it in a bowl. Add finely chopped onion
  • As required Curry leaves
  • As required Coriander leaves
  • As required Small piece ginger
  • 1/2 drop hing and salt. Mix well. Dip hands in water and make vada andit in hot oil.itslowly one by one. Fry them both sides into golden colour. Serve with thick coconut chutney.

Directions: Urad Dal Vada Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash the urad dal thoroughly and soak it for four hours. Then remove the water fully and grind it in grinder or in a mixie without adding water. in between sprinkle very little water and grind. Grind it into fluffy batter. Transfer it in a bowl. Add finely chopped onion, curry leaves, coriander leaves, small piece ginger, 1/4 tsp hing and salt. Mix well. Dip hands in water and make vada and drop it in hot oil. Drop it slowly one by one. Fry them both sides into golden colour. Serve with thick coconut chutney.
