Ingredients for urad dal bara (medu vada) Recipe

  • As required Vada
  • 1 cup soaked urad dal
  • 1 nos finely chopped onion
  • 2 nos Green Chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp sooji (semolina)
  • As required To taste salt
  • As required To deep fry oil
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

Directions: Urad Dal Bara (medu Vada) Recipe

  • STEP 1.1.
  • STEP 2.First up, grind soaked white urad dal along with water in a grinder. Add a little bit of water.
  • STEP 3.2.
  • STEP 4.Then transfer this batter into a large mixing bowl and add the chopped onions, green chillies and sooji along with salt and red chilli powder to taste.
  • STEP 5.3.
  • STEP 6.Mix everything well.
  • STEP 7.4.
  • STEP 8.Heat oil in a large bottomed pan, add a spoonful of batter one after another.
  • STEP 9.5.
  • STEP 10.Wait until both the sides of the fritters become brown and crispy.
  • STEP 11.6.
  • STEP 12.Once done, transfer them on a serving plate and serve with green chutney and masala chai.
