  • 1/4 cup Fenugreek Leaves, Chopped
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Chopped

  • 0.13 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak urad dal for 4-5 hours. Drain the water and grind it into a coarse paste.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, and chopped onions. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, and fenugreek leaves. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 4.Add the urad dal paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.

  • Soaking the urad dal helps in easy grinding and reduces the cooking time.
