  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, mash ripe bananas until smooth.
  • STEP 2.Add rice flour, jaggery, grated coconut, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt to the mashed bananas. Mix well to form a thick batter.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in an appachatti pan. Pour a spoonful of batter into each cavity of the pan.
  • STEP 4.Fry the unniyappam on medium heat until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  • STEP 5.Remove the unniyappam from the pan and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
  • STEP 6.Serve the unniyappam warm and enjoy as a sweet snack or dessert.
