Directions: Turkish Lamb Wraps Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, combine the garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the lamb and marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  • STEP 2.Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the lamb from the marinade and grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Let the lamb rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • STEP 3.Warm the flatbread in a dry skillet or on the grill for a few seconds on each side. Spread a spoonful of the yogurt sauce on each flatbread. Top with sliced lamb, lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Drizzle with more yogurt sauce and fold the flatbread to form a wrap.
  • STEP 4.Serve the Turkish Lamb Wraps immediately and enjoy!

Cooking Tips

  • For extra flavor, you can add some chopped fresh herbs like mint or parsley to the yogurt sauce.
  • If you don't have a grill, you can also cook the lamb in a hot skillet or under the broiler.
  • To make the wraps more filling, you can add some cooked rice or couscous to the filling.

Storage and Serving

  • These wraps are best served immediately while the flatbread is still warm and the lamb is freshly grilled.
  • If you have any leftovers, store the components separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator. Reheat the lamb and warm the flatbread before assembling the wraps again.
  • You can also pack the components separately and assemble the wraps just before serving for a portable lunch option.
