Ingredients for Traditional dum style chicken biryani Recipe

3 chicken breasts or thighs cut into cubes
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 inch ginger, finely chopped
1/2 cup Plain yogurt
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1.50 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon biryani masala
2 teaspoon Kashmiri mirch powder
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne
2 teaspoon turmeric powder
As required Salt
1 tablespoon mustard oil
2 teaspoon Lemon juice
As required To cook the rice
1 cup basmati rice
2 cup Water
1 black cardamon
1 bay leaf
As required Salt
1 teaspoon Oil
As required Rest of the ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoon desi ghee
1 cup finely chopped onions
3 small cardamon pods
1 inch Cinnamon Stick
4 black peppercorns
1/2 teaspoon Shahi jeera
2 Cloves
1/2 cup coriander leaves
2.50 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 teaspoon biryani masala to sprinkle between the layers
1 teaspoon lemon juice to sprinkle
1-2 tablespoon strands of saffron + 1 milk or 1/4 tsp edible food color
