  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped

  • STEP 1.Wash the toor dal and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, add the soaked dal, water, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 4-5 whistles.
  • STEP 3.In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, onions, and tomatoes. Cook until the onions are golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add the cooked dal to the pan and simmer for a few minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
