  • 62.50 gram Okra, Washed And Dried
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • as required Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and dry the okra, then trim the ends and cut them into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and saut茅 until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and saut茅 for a minute. Then add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  • STEP 4.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add the chopped okra and mix well. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • STEP 6.Once the okra is cooked and tender, garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to dry the okra completely before cutting to avoid sliminess.
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your taste by adding more or less chili powder.
  • For a variation, you can also add some chopped potatoes along with the okra.
