Thekua recipe is a pure Bihari delicacy which is immensely popular in the subcontinents of eastern India. It is considered as one of the essential elements of holy “Chhath puja” prasad which is offered to God.
STEP 1.Take the wheat flour, sugar, desiccated coconut, rava and cardamom powder in a bowl. Add the ghee and mix everything for few minutes until it becomes like a crumble.
STEP 2.Slowly sprinkle the water and knead into a stiff dough.
STEP 3.Roll out the dough into a thick disc and cut the dough with a cookie cutter.
STEP 4.Heat oil in a kadai and fry the cookies on both sides till they become crispy.
STEP 5.Cool and store in an air tight box. Serve as snack for tea.
