Tendli ki sabji I think u all love it. It is pure maharastrian style. U can eat with chapati or roti as you like. If u hv dal and rice and u also want some extra taste u can try. It give amazing combination. So must try this receipe.

Ingredients for Tendli ki subji ( Maharastrian style Tendli (ivy gourd) ki subji) Recipe

  • 1/2 tbsp 2 tbsp
  • As Required ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • As Required ½ tspcumin seeds
  • 1/4 inch 1 inch ginger
  • 1/2 g 2-3 fresh Green chilli
  • sprig 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1/2 tbsp 2 heaped tbsp peanuts
  • As Required ⅓ cup fresh coconut
  • As Required ¼ tsp hing
  • As Required ½ tsp Deggi red chilli powder
  • As Required 1/4 tsp coriander powder
  • As Required 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • As Required ½ kg Ivy Gourd (Tendli)
  • to taste Salt to taste (
  • 3/4 tbsp 3 tbsp coarindar leaves chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp 2 tbsp fresh coconut grated
  • As Required For Ganishing For garnish
  • As Required For Ganishing fresh Coriander Leaves chopped
  • As Required For Ganishing Fresh grated coconut

Directions: Tendli Ki Subji ( Maharastrian Style Tendli (ivy Gourd) Ki Subji) Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a kadai heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, ginger, green chillies, curry leaves saute for half a minute.
  • STEP 2.Now add peanuts and saute for half a minute on medium heat and then add grated coconut and saute for a minute.
  • STEP 3.Then add the asafoetida, degi red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and saute until fragrant.
  • STEP 4.Now add the ivy gourd (tendli), salt and mix everything properly then cover and cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
  • STEP 5.Remove the lid and add coriander leaves, grated coconut, lemon juice and give it a final mix.
  • STEP 6.Serve hot in a serving plate and garnish with coriander leaves and fresh grated coconut. Enjoy with roti or chapati. U can also eat with this dal rice also .If u want extra taste with dal rice u can try this maharastrian style tendli ki sabji .
