To savor the taste of authentic tawa pulao one has to visit the chaat vendors carts that line Mumbai streets and Juhu beach. Since its an easy recipe to replicate, we can re-create the same flavors at home though it will not have that typical street food flavor that the street hawkers whip up.

Ingredients for tawa pulao Recipe

  • 2.50 cup basmati rice cumin seeds garlic paste & ginger paste boil potatoes carrot
  • 1.67 tsp half peas tomato turmeric powder red chilli powder pav bhaji masala coriander leaves & salt to taste

Directions: Tawa Pulao Recipe

  • STEP 1.in a kadai heat 2 tsp oil and saute 1 tsp cumin until it turns aromatic. ginger garlic paste. saute well.
  • STEP 2.carrot, chopped peas, beans and  salt. . stir-fry for 3 minutes or until vegetables are cooked slightly.
  • STEP 3.now add 2 tomatoes and saute until the tomato turn soft and mushy.
  • STEP 4.furthermore add 2 tsp pav bhaji masala and tsp. additionally add 1 boiled and cubed potato and mix well.
  • STEP 5.now add in cooked rice.
  • STEP 6.mix gently without breaking rice. add in 2 tbsp coriander and 1 tbsp . mix well.
  • STEP 7.finally, serve mumbai tawa server with curd
