Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a tava or a wide pan and add cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon, and bay leaf.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  • STEP 4.Add sprouted moong beans and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add rice, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the tava, and let it cook for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
