  • 62.50 gm Chicken
  • 0.13 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp Tamarind paste
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 3/4 Pieces Onion
  • 1/4 Tsp Ginger
  • 1/2 Tsp Garlic
  • 1/2 Pieces Bay leaves
  • As Required Whole spices
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
  • 0.38 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 Pieces Tomato
  • A Few Cilantro leaves

Directions: Tamarind Chicken #ChickenRecipes #FEM5K

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan. Fry the bay leaves and whole spice. Add onions and saute them till they turn slightly pinkish in hue. Then add the ginger-garlic paste, red chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder, sugar and salt. Stir well all these ingredients.
  • STEP 2.Now, add the chicken pieces. Cook for sometime. Add tomatoes. Cover the lid & cook till chicken becomes tender. Add the tamarind paste. Stir once again until evenly mixed. Add little water & cover the pan for few minutes.
  • STEP 3.Remove when the chicken is cooked properly and the curry has turned brown and thickened a bit. Garnish with cilantro leaves.
  • STEP 4.Serve the Tamarind Chicken with steamed rice. The flavour of tamarind goes well when paired with steamed rice & it is altogether a different culinary experience.
