  • 1/2 cup Urad Dal
  • 0.13 cup Chana Dal
  • 1/2 cup Jaggery
  • 1/4 cup Coconut
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak urad dal and chana dal in water for a few hours.
  • STEP 2.Drain the water and grind the dals along with jaggery and coconut to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 3.Add cardamom powder and salt to the batter and mix well.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
  • STEP 5.Take small portions of the batter and shape them into small vadas.
  • STEP 6.Gently drop the vadas into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 7.Remove the vadas from the oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
  • STEP 8.Serve the sweet vadas hot with coconut chutney or enjoy them as is.
