1/4 Yellow Onion, Diced
1/4 tablespoon Grated fresh ginger
1 Cloves garlic minced
1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
1/4 teaspoon Black mustard seeds
1/4 teaspoon Fennel seeds
1/4 3 fresh chilies serrano chili pepper, slit down the side vertically
1/4 tablespoon Garam masala spice
1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek leaves
1/2 Bay leaves
1/2 Medium tomatoes, diced
1/4 teaspoon Salt
0.19 inch 1 medium sweet potato or yam, diced into cubes, skins ok see notes
1/4 teaspoon Honey or maple syrup
As required Handful fresh cilantro leaves or chopped scallions for garnish
As required Toasted flaked coconut optional
