Sweet paniyaram The batter is made of black lentils and rice and is similar in composition to the batter used to make idli and dosa. The dish can also be made spicy or sweet with chillies or jaggery respectively. Paniyaram is made on a special pan that comes with multiple small indentations.

Ingredients for Sweet paniyaram Recipe

  • 0.17 Cups Idli batter
  • 1/2 Cups Organic jaggery powder
  • 1/25 Cup Grated coconut
  • 1/4 Pieces Elachi or green cardomom
  • A Pinch Salt

Directions: Sweet Paniyaram Recipe

  • STEP 1.Mix all the ingredients. Heat the paniyaram pan. Add a few drops of oil.
  • STEP 2.Now add the spoonful of the batter till 3/4th of the mould.
  • STEP 3.Cook the dumplings till they become golden brown from all sides.
  • STEP 4.Serve sweet paniyaram hot or warm.
  • STEP 5.If not serving immediately, then keep them in a casserole, so that they remain warm and soft.
