  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 4.50 Y Leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 Dried Red Chilies
  • 1.25 Ves
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon Stick
  • pinch A Pinch Of Asafoetida
  • as required Chopped Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, whisk together yogurt, gram flour, turmeric powder, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add the yogurt mixture to the pan and cook on low heat, stirring continuously, until it thickens.
  • STEP 4.In a separate pan, heat ghee and add dried red chilies, cloves, cinnamon, and asafoetida. Fry for a few seconds.
  • STEP 5.Pour this tempering over the kadhi and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or khichdi.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to whisk the yogurt and gram flour mixture well to avoid lumps.
  • Stir the kadhi continuously while cooking to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  • Adjust the consistency of the kadhi by adding water if it becomes too thick.
