Canned Pear Cobbler Made With Cake Mix Recipe

Recipe By The Spruce Eats

This easy pear cobbler is essentially a "Dump cake. " If you haven't heard of a dump cake, it is basically made from a store-bought cake mix and a canned fruit or pie filling, plus another flavoring or two and ingredients that help moisten the dry cake mix. All ingredients are "Dumped" Into a pan, sometimes given a stir, and then baked. This is a great way to quickly whip up a dessert while using what you have on hand in the pantry. While most dump cakes feature fruit, there are some recipes that focus on the sweets, such as chocolate, caramel, and peanut butter. There are only four ingredients in this recipe, and the time it takes to assemble is how long it takes to melt the butter, but it will taste like you spent much more time in the kitchen putting this pear cobbler together. Serve warm slices with vanilla ice cream or freshly whipped cream.
