  • STEP 1.Start by marinating the chicken in a mixture of yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and spices for at least 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.In a large pot, heat oil and add whole spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves. Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add the marinated chicken and cook until it is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.
  • STEP 4.In the same pot, add soaked basmati rice, water, and salt. Cook until the rice is 70% cooked. Drain the rice and set aside.
