Ingredients for Stuffed dal dhokli Recipe

  • As required For Dhokli
  • As required Wheat flour ¼ cup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ajwain seeds
  • As required salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon Oil +
  • As required For stuffing
  • 1.25 teaspoon Dessicated Coconut
  • As required salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander leaves chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon green chilli paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • As required For dal
  • As required Tuvar dal ½ cup washed and pressure-cooked n blend adding water
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 3.50 nos Curry leaves to
  • As required Asafoetida ½ teaspoon
  • 1/2 nos dried red chilli
  • 1 cup Water to ½(use as per required)
  • As required salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Jaggery
  • 1/2 teaspoon tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander leaves for garnishing

Directions: Stuffed Dal Dhokli Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a bowl add flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ajwain, salt and oil 1 teaspoon and make a dough by gradually adding water. Make semi soft dough. Cover and keep a side for 10 minutes.
  • STEP 2.In a bowl add all the stuffing ingredients. Mix it well.
  • STEP 3.Knead the dough for 4 to 5 minutes using ½ teaspoon oil. Make small portion of the dough. Make small puri. Add 1 teaspoon of stuffing. Hold the edges seal it like kachori.
  • STEP 4.In a kadai add ghee once its heated add mustard, curry leaves, dried chilli and asafoetida gradually. Once the tempering is done add boiled tuvar dal and water as per the consistency you like (1 cup to 1 1/2 cup).
  • STEP 5.Add tomatoes, salt to taste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and jaggery.
  • STEP 6.Once dal starts boiling add the stuffed dhoklis. Cover half with lid and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Dal dhoklis consistency will become thick.
  • STEP 7.Steaming hot stuffed dal dhokli is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with brown rice. One pot meal is ready
