This steak salad with cilantro lime dressing is a little taste of summer all year long. I use new york striploins but any decent cut of steak will do just fine.

  • 3 ounce 2 steaks -new york, sirloin etc
  • 2 cup Mesclun -mixed greens
  • 1/2-3/4 Green Onions Sliced
  • 1/4 cup Cherry Tomatoes Halved
  • 1/4 Avocado sliced
  • 1/4 cup Queso fresco -you can substitute feta, crumbled
  • As required Cilantro lime vinaigrette -recipe follows
  • As required Granulated Garlic
  • As required Chili powder
  • As required Salt
  • As required Coarse black pepper -butcher's grind works here
  • 1/4 tablespoon Lime juice -fresh squeezed
  • 1/2-3/4 tablespoon Vegetable oil -depends on how big your lime is
  • 1/2 teaspoon Honey
  • 1/2-3/4 tablespoon Finely sliced cilantro leaves stems discarded
  • 0.13 teaspoon 1/4- salt to taste
  • 0.06 teaspoon Black pepper
