  • 0.08 cup Rice
  • 0.17 tablespoon Ginger Green Chili Paste
  • 1/25 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a blender, grind sprouted lentils and rice to make a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2.Transfer the batter to a bowl and add ginger-green chili paste, salt, and turmeric powder. Mix well.
  • STEP 3.Grease a dhokla plate or a steamer tray with oil and pour the batter into it.
  • STEP 4.Steam the dhokla for about 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • STEP 5.Once done, remove from the steamer and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Cut the dhokla into square or diamond-shaped pieces.
  • STEP 7.For tempering, heat oil in a small pan and add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, curry leaves, and green chilies. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 8.Pour the tempering over the dhokla pieces and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • STEP 9.Serve the Sprouts Dhokla with green chutney and enjoy!

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure the batter is smooth and of pouring consistency.
  • You can add grated coconut or chopped vegetables to the batter for added flavor and texture.
  • To check if the dhokla is cooked, insert a toothpick in the center. If it comes out clean, it is ready.
