Directions: Palak Biryani Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • STEP 2.Blanch the spinach leaves in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and blend into a smooth puree.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and add whole spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves. Saute until fragrant.
  • STEP 4.Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add the spinach puree and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add biryani masala, salt, and mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add the soaked rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover the pan. Cook for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and fluffy.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fried onions, chopped coriander leaves, and mint leaves. Serve hot with raita or yogurt.
