  • 1/2 tablespoon Chana Dal
  • 1/2 tablespoon Urad Dal
  • 1.13 Ed Red Chilies
  • piece Small Piece Of Tamarind
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • as required A Few Curry Leaves
  • pinch A Pinch Of Hing
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Dry roast lentils and red chilies until golden brown.
  • STEP 2.Grind the roasted lentils, red chilies, coconut, tamarind, and salt into a coarse paste.
  • STEP 3.Temper mustard seeds, curry leaves, and hing in oil and add it to the ground mixture.
  • STEP 4.Mix well and serve Coconut Thogayal with hot rice or as a side dish.

Storage and Serving

  • Coconut Thogayal can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
