Ingredients for Spicy Garlic Prawns Recipe

  • 450 gram Raw prawns with shell
  • 8 No.s Garlic Cloves
  • 1 No.s Spring onions
  • 2 No.s Red chili peppers
  • 1 teaspoon Coarse Black Pepper
  • 4 tablespoon Cornflour
  • As required Salt

Directions: Spicy Garlic Prawns Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a wok heat 1 tbsp oil over medium heat, add 8 thinly sliced cloves of garlic and fry till light brown in colour. Then remove from the pan.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 in a large mixing bowl add 450 gm washed and trimmed prawns in shells, add 4 tbsp cornflour and toss till well coated.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 heat ½ ltr oil in a wok, when hot add the prawns one at a time and fry for 40 to 50 seconds, turn over occasionally. Remove when the prawns turn pink.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 in another owk add 1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp coarse black pepper and stir fry for10 seconds. Then add 2 deseeded thinly sliced red chili peppers, 1 roughly chopped spring onion and the fried garlic. Fry together for a few seconds.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 add the fried prawns, salt to taste and stir well together.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 remove and serve hot.
