Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste, and chopped onions. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 2.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 3.Add boiled and mashed potatoes to the pan and cook for a few minutes. Add water if needed to adjust the consistency.
  • STEP 4.For the bhatura, mix all-purpose flour, yogurt, baking powder, salt, and a little oil. Knead into a soft dough.
  • STEP 5.Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into flat discs. Deep fry the discs in hot oil until they puff up and turn golden brown.
  • STEP 6.Serve the spicy aloo curry with hot bhaturas. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with yogurt or pickle on the side.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to boil the potatoes until they are soft and easily mashable.
