Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger-garlic paste. Saute until onions turn translucent.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped vegetables, soya granules, and semolina. Cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 4.Add water, salt, and turmeric powder. Mix well and cook until the upma is cooked and water is absorbed.
  • STEP 5.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

  • You can add any vegetables of your choice like carrots, peas, capsicum, etc.
  • Soak the soya granules in hot water for 10 minutes before using.
