#curry A unique and protein-rich indian curry recipe made with soya chaap. it is an ideal meat substitute indian curry that would provide the same texture and flavour as any meat-based curry. it tastes great when served with a combination of indian flatbread like garlic naan, tandoori roti, kulcha or even with the choice of rice like pulav and biriyani.

Ingredients for Soya chaap gravy Recipe

  • 1.50 Pieces soya chaap sticks
  • 0.06 cup thick curd
  • To Taste As per taste Salt
  • 0.03 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.13 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 0.06 tsp Chaat masala powder
  • 0.03 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 Pieces 2 Green cardamom
  • 1/4 Inches Small stick of cinnamon
  • 3/4 g 3-4 tomatoes roug
  • 1/4 inch Ginger
  • 1.75 g 7-8 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 g reen chillies
  • 0.06 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • To Taste As per taste Salt
  • 0.06 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/4 tbsp kasuri methi
  • handful Fresh coriander leaves chopped

Directions: Soya Chaap Gravy Recipe

  • STEP 1.Firstly wash soya chaap, pat them dry and cut it into pieces like the size you prefer. deep fry the pieces until nicely golden and crisp on low to medium heat while stirring occasionally. drain off and transfer to a bowl.
  • STEP 2.Now add curd, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, chat masala, and salt. mix well to combine everything well. cover and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 3.In the meantime fry onion flakes on medium heat till golden. Take it off on a plate and let it cool for a while and then blend to make a paste. (add as required water while blending). In a blender jar add tomatoes, ginger, garlic, green chilies, and blend to make a Puree.
  • STEP 4.Now heat oil/butter in a pan, add cardamoms, cloves, and cinnamon stir for a few seconds, then add blended tomato puree and cook until oil realizes. Now add dry spices and mix well. Add onion paste, stir continuously and mix well.
  • STEP 5.Now add marinated soya chaap and mix well, cook covered for 2 -3 minutes on medium heat, then add as required water to adjust the consistency of gravy and cook for 5 mins more till oil comes on the surface.
  • STEP 6.In the last add Kasuri methi, garam masala powder, and fresh coriander leaves chopped and mix. Delicious Soya chaap gravy is ready to Serve.
