Ingredients for Soy Sauce Chicken Recipe

  • 450 piece Chicken breasts cut into bite size gm
  • 2 tablespoon Oil
  • 20 gram Ginger thinly sliced
  • 6 Chestnut mushrooms cut into quarters
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine
  • 150 milliliter Chicken Stock
  • 2.50 Spring onions cut into cm lengths 2 Nos
  • 2.50 sprig Coriander cut into cm lengths 3
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour
  • 2 tablespoon Water
  • As required Ingredients for seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oyster Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground white pepper

Directions: Soy Sauce Chicken Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a large mixing bowl add 450 gm chicken breast cut into bite size pieces, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp dark soy sauce, ½ tsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp sugar ½ tsp white pepper powder and mix well to ensure that all the pieces are well coated. Keep aside to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  • STEP 2.2 in a wok heat 2 tbsp oil on high heat. When hot add 20 gm thinly sliced ginger and 6 chestnut mushrooms cut into quarters and stir fry for 2 minutes.

  • STEP 3.3 then add the marinated chicken to the wok and stir fry for 3 minutes.

  • STEP 4.4 add 150 ml chicken stock to the wok and mix.

  • STEP 5.5 bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes until chicken is tender.

  • STEP 6.6 then add 1 tbsp rice wine and cook for a further 2 minutes.

  • STEP 7.7 next add 2 spring onions cut into 2 ½ cm lengths, 3 sprigs of coriander cut into 2 ½ cm length and stir together.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 stir in the mixture of 1 tsp cornflour with 2 tbsp water and continue to cook till the sauce thickens. Turn off the heat.

step 9

  • STEP 9.9 transfer to a serving dish.
