Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, combine soy sauce, calamansi juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • STEP 2.Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  • STEP 3.In a pan, heat oil and pan-fry the chicken until browned on all sides.
  • STEP 4.Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  • STEP 5.In the same pan, sauté garlic and onions until fragrant.
  • STEP 6.Add the chicken back to the pan and pour in the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and spices.
  • STEP 7.Simmer for about 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
