  • 250 gram Fresh Amla
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • 0.13 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Jaggery

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and pat dry the amla. Cut them into small pieces and remove the seeds.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and asafoetida. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add the amla pieces, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and jaggery. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  • STEP 4.Turn off the heat and let the pickle cool down. Transfer it to a clean, dry jar and store in a cool place.
  • STEP 5.Serve the pickle with roti, paratha, or rice. It can also be used as a spread for sandwiches or as a dip for snacks.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to remove the seeds from the amla before using them in the pickle.
