I began making these egg rolls in college in my Food Science course, and I have made them countless times since with my own student.   • 1/4 teaspoon Chicken Bouillon Granules
  • 1/2 cup Cold water
  • 1/2 cup Red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 Jar diced pimientos, drained
  • 1 tablespoon Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Minced fresh gingerroot
  • As required Spring rolls
  • 2 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 3/4 pound Uncooked medium shrimp, peeled, deveined and chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 teaspoon Canola oil, divided
  • 2 cup Finely Shredded Cabbage
  • 1 cup Finely chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped water chestnuts
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Carrot
  • 4 Green onions, thinly sliced
  • 12 Egg roll or chinese spring roll wrappers
  • As required Oil for deep fat frying
